Elianny C. Edwards is a PhD student in the Human Development and Psychology Division of UCLA's Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. She received her B.A in Clinical Psychology and Child Development from Tufts University, and her current research focuses on analyzing the psychosocial and academic outcomes of students of color and students from low-income backgrounds in schools.
Prior to coming to UCLA, Elianny was a certified K-6 classroom teacher. She currently has over 8 years of professional experience in youth development, teaching, assessment, and developing curriculum across inner-cities on both the east and west coast. Elianny is currently a graduate student researcher for the UCLA Middle School Diversity Project, the Children's Understanding of Economic and Social Inequality Lab, UCLA's Black Male Institute, and she is an instructor for Sister-to-Sister.
